Let's begin at the beginning...
I'm the typical American Everyman. Mid-level success in life, education and career. Football Sundays, 45-minute commutes to work, 30 pounds past my "fighting weight" and losing the genetic battle for my hairline.

There was a line in one of my favorite movies where the main character proclaims he is the patron saint of all mediocrities. That's me. I started this blog today more for personal therapy than any true belief that anyone will read it. However, if you've made it here through some quirk of search engine fate, welcome!
